Colin George Turns

Founder & CEO

CGT’s expertise in security and risk management is underpinned by our founder Colin George Turns’ extensive military and corporate credentials. Living and working in the Middle East for over 20 years has provided Colin with extensive and in-depth knowledge of the various multicultural and complex working environments found in the wider GCC region.

With over 17 years of military experience to his name, Colin is a specialist in anti-terrorism and risk management. He has carried out many crucial assignments in high-risk conflict zones across the globe, including Libya, Iraq and Afghanistan. His military background is backed by a degree in Security Risk Management and he is also a member of the UK Security Institute. 

Over and above his military and security experience, Colin has held prestigious roles within the corporate sector. He was formerly the Managing Director of an IT company he co-founded and was appointed to the role of Senior Consultant to a blue-chip oil and gas company in West Africa, among other roles of note. This wealth of corporate experience enables Colin to better cater to top-level executives and ensure their security needs are anticipated with utmost professionalism.

Today, Colin harnesses his vast experience to assist high-profile individuals and organisations travelling to high-risk environments. He has provided training and consultancy to a wide range of clients, including the delivery of Hostile Environment Awareness Training to the UK Government’s Foreign & Commonwealth Office.

Isabel Tapp

Director of VIP Travel & Lifestyle Services

With over 30 years experience at the luxury end of the travel, event and hospitality industry, Isabel has held senior management positions with some of the world’s more prestigious hospitality and travel brands including Jumeirah Group in Dubai, KUONI and Rocco Forte Hotels in Europe.

Recognised in the PR Week 2020 and 2021 Power Book Middle East as one of the most influential communications professionals in the GCC Region, Isabel’s journey to the top began when she was only 18 working in a luxury 5 star hotel in her native home of Malta.

Following an invitation to join the Senior Management Team of Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts in Dubai, Isabel has gone on to work alongside some of the world’s most prestigious brands.  Trusted for her exquisite tastes and impeccable standards, the passion Isabel brings to each project knows no bounds. With values rooted deeply in quality, attention to detail and personalised service, Isabel and her team work as an extension of the client’s team, ensuring seamless delivery every time.
